In 2026, the century-old institution of Trinquet Pelayo gave us a blank canvas to rethink its legacy. It was no easy task: this place is the cathedral of Valencian pilota, a mythical venue where values, tradition, sport, and the cultural legacy of the Mediterranean converge. We conceived this piece from a sense of collective feeling, seeking new shared responses through the refined aesthetics of this unique sport, and paying tribute to all those who suffered the devastating DANA that struck Valencia in the autumn of 2025.

We will seek to invoke a we now that the wound is deep. We will remember that we will do it in our own way: we will burn, visceral and exhausted, but we will know how to rise again. Yes, we will get through this one too.
