If we fall, the fall will be free, it will be virtual. We have stopped believing. We’re going to short-circuit morality. We’ll do what no one dares to do. We’ll defend immaturity, more fragmented than ever. We’ll live through advertising images, television, and pornography; we’ll only feel unique when experiencing something skin-deep. If the only freedom left to us is to burn that very concept—freedom—we’ll explode the ashes. And if nothing is born from them, at least we will have lived intensely.
